About Worldview

The most important social transformation in the 21st Century will be in the ways we educate ourselves. Our current educational practices emphasize modes of intelligence necessary to support an industrial- and information-based economy—logical, linear, hierarchical, and computer-like capabilities.  The global economy now emerging will demand of graduates a broader range of aptitudes than those currently being exercised in most classrooms, including a facility for collaboration, system analysis, big-picture design, and empathy.

Worldview Education is leading the way in educational reform by making available to public, private, and home-schooling organizations world-class educational products that incorporate into their design the cultivation of an emotional and social intelligence associated with effective leadership in an economically interdependent and globally diverse world.

Our products and programs, while imaginatively rich in their expression, are nevertheless designed to reinforce the foundational skills of academic life—reading, writing, critical thinking, math, and science. Our educational philosophy assumes that effective leaders are capable of applying academic knowledge to novel social contexts—of integrating what they know and feel with what they can imagine and collaboratively produce.  All of our programs, therefore, are linked to either quantitative or qualitative learning outcomes, or both, and are designed to enhance a student’s classroom experiences, not to compete with them or to diminish their necessity.
