Design

The Memory Bridge Curriculum was designed to allow any teacher to lead a Memory Bridge class – even if that teacher has little to no experience with Alzheimer’s disease.

The ultimate goal of the curriculum is to promote communication with individuals with Alzheimer’s disease, individuals we refer to as “buddies.”  To achieve this goal, the curriculum teaches communication and relationship-building skills that will serve students in a variety of contexts.  During the program, students also have the opportunity to directly impact the life of a person with dementia.

Each lesson has been mapped to state learning outcome standards for Illinois and Texas.  If you purchase the complete Memory Bridge curriculum, our staff can work with you to create standards correlations for your state.
